Dr. Pek Van Andel won the Ig Nobel Prize in the field of medicine for this MRI sex video

The study is called “Magnetic resonance imaging of male and female genitals during coitus and female sexual arousal”.

“The objective was to find out whether taking images of the male and female genitals during coitus is feasible and to find out whether former and current ideas about the anatomy during sexual intercourse and during female sexual arousal are based on assumptions or no facts.”

I’ve had the misfortune of being inside an MRI machine a couple of times now, and I have to wonder how these two managed to have sex while located in that dark, cramped, loud techno-like-music-making machine.
